Customization Standards
UNRL will not print designs that:
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Constitute libel, fraud, or other illegal acts
- Encourage violence or abuse against any group or individual, including dehumanization, with potential violence exceptions for authorized US military activities
- Depict graphic violence, including self-harm, with potential exceptions for select historical images
- Include hate speech, such as abusive, threatening, or demeaning content based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, national origin, or sexual orientation
- Encourage harassment or hatred of private individuals
- Threaten or encourage physical harassment of public figures or their families or depict them in a discriminatory manner
- Promote, feature, or encourage the use of hard drugs
- Contain explicit sexual content or non-artistic/health/medical nudity
- Include sexually suggestive images or text involving children
- Encourage animal abuse or cruelty
- Promote underage drinking, smoking, or marijuana use
- Show gross insensitivity to individuals or communities in grief or mourning
UNRL may require changes or Deny designs that:
- Include defamatory statements
- Use profanity or express hatred, anger, or harsh criticism of public figures
- Depict people as animals in a dehumanizing way
- Include vulgar, lewd language, or swear words
- Feature less-explicit sexual content or artistic/health/medical nudity
- Have overt sexual connotations or strong sexual innuendo
- Include violent terms or historical images of violence
- Promote or encourage illegal activity
- Defend alleged criminals or criminal acts
- Advocate for one party in a pending legal dispute
- Might cause public anger or harm
- Include other content offensive to the UNRL community
UNRL will print designs that:
- Use language and images suitable for all ages
- Foster a sense of community without offending individuals or groups
- Respect intellectual property rights by using authorized content
